Several people are trying give Ricky a leg up...Times are tight and if you can not help financially maybe you could share this around or send positive thoughts his way. He has always been a source of help and inspiration in the fractal world.

Greetings Maniacs!
Ricky Jarnagin is in rather desperate need.
He is, from what I can tell, at the rock bottom where finances are concerned. He's pretty much lost everything.
As a father, and a grandfather, this has got to be a fairly rotten place to be.
He loves to help anyone he can. And I'm sure his family, being his number one concern, is first on his list.
You know, he started three groups on Facebook - Mandelbulb Maniacs, Lunatics Lair, and Harum Scarum. He is also quite active on deviantArt.
He has helped so many people with his time, energy, and parameters, that they're countless.
Now it is time for us to give back if we can.
Ricky needs everyone who is able, and would like to, help him out. In whatever way!
If you are able, donations to this fund would be quite welcome as this is what he needs most at the moment.
Please give if you can - and don't worry if you cannot! If nothing else, send positive thoughts his way, he can use all the support he can get!

tatasz has devised a devious little craze - FLASH MOBSeems I have been Tagged by ..
as one onf The MOB He He...I thnk this is great!!This is the way it works:
"You have to paste the thumbs of 2 or 3 deviations of yours, that you posted around this date a year ago.
Then you tag 5 friends, and they do the same thing in their journals." It will bring up some of your older works to be seen a new!!

Beware of the Art Thievies

Just a heads up to all my Art Friends.....seems that there are Thieves among us. Here's is Fractos s Journal entry with some very important informations about the Thieves that are taking out work and claiming it as ther oun. I work hard to get my images something I can be proud to display. But it appears that some people have no pride or shame.Anyawy enough ranting here is here journal entry:

found this site, and I was the person that recognized Vidom's work and informed her, and she passed the info along to Vince... everyone should do what they can to spread the word about this thief!

I've been notified by (thanks!) about a website selling some of my artworks without permission.
This german guy owns a 'gallery' (sigh) which clearly contains stolen art from DA artists. Mostly fractal, fantasy and sci-fi artists. Unfortunately he only submits excerpts of the books he prints, so it's impossible to have a list of all artists who fell victim of his robbery without going to his gallery in Germany.
I already found images of some of my favorite DA artists in there, and I am alerting them as soon as I find their works.
I'm also saving the files he posted for future reference, even if he tried to forbid it by putting passwords on the PDF files.
Furthermore, I've alerted the DA Group
and I'm sure their work will help.
In my case, he stole dozens and dozens of my artworks without permission, removing my signature and writing his, adding also a fake copyright symbol with an arbitrary year. Of course I have a dozen ways to demonstrate he can't be the author; he also made stupid mistakes which I can't reveal here to not alert him.
In my 5 years of experience on DA this is the second biggest art thievery I saw, after the famous one involving Chad Love Lieberman (you can laugh here if you remember that guy who used the money he made to insure his own nuts)
I NEED HELP from you all!
If you can please spread this and alert other artists, so everyone can check if their works were stolen, I would much appreciate it

I am trying to have him removing my works for now, but every artist involved should ask him to do it. I know it won't be enough if he owns a physical gallery in his city; that's why I'm also considering measures to have his gallery visited by some kind of authorities.
I'm not accustomed to use DA as a social network for my personal problems, I just wish to add that my artworks are all I've left with in my life. This is a violation very serious to me and I won't have peace until I see a satisfactory end of this thievery.
